Donald Trump issues a final warning to Hamas, saying they have until Sunday to accept the Gaza plan: "We'll have peace one way or another."

The US president on Friday doubled the pressure on Hamas to accept the proposal seeking to end the war in Gaza, warning that the Islamist group has until 5 p.m. (Colombian time) this Sunday, October 5, to accept the initiative.
The Republican president stated that otherwise, he will unleash "hell, the likes of which have never been seen before, on Hamas."
"Hamas has been a vicious and violent threat for many years in the Middle East," Trump begins in a message on his Truth Social account.

The president stated that since Israel's war on the Palestinian enclave began, "more than 25,000" militants from the Islamist group have died, while "the rest are surrounded and militarily trapped, waiting for me to give the order for their lives to be quickly extinguished."
"As for the rest, we know where they are and who they are, and they will be hunted down and killed," the US leader added, also calling for "all innocent Palestinians to immediately leave this zone of potential future death to safer areas of Gaza."
The president then stated that " fortunately for Hamas, they will have one last chance," referring to the proposal to end the war in Gaza, which was presented this Monday and has the support of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The plan outlined by the US president includes a ceasefire, the release of Israeli hostages within 72 hours, the disarmament of Hamas , and the gradual withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza.

Backed by numerous Arab and Western countries, including the European Union, the plan presents some unknowns, such as the timing of Israel's withdrawal and the method of Hamas's disarmament.
In this regard, Hamas stated that it needs more time to study the peace plan for Gaza.
"Hamas is still in consultations on Trump's plan (...) and informed the mediators that the consultations are ongoing and that some time is needed," this senior Hamas official told AFP on condition of anonymity.
Hamas political bureau member Mohammed Nazzal also stated that the group would respond "soon" to the proposal, Al Jazeera reported.

In statements to Qatari television, he stated that the group "is discussing" the plan and "will soon announce its position on the proposal."
The representative affirmed that the organization "has the right to express its views in a way that serves the interests of the Palestinian people," stating that: "We are not acting under the logic that time is a sword pointed at our neck."
Donald Trump's harsh threat to Hamas President Trump emphasized that the agreement "spares the lives of all remaining Hamas fighters" and that "it's a great deal for everyone."
In his message, he warned that "one way or another, we will have peace in the Middle East" and gave the Islamist group until 5 p.m. (Colombian time) this Sunday, October 5, to accept the agreement.

"The violence and bloodshed will cease. Release all hostages, including the bodies of the dead, now! An agreement must be reached with Hamas before six (6) p.m., Washington, DC time," the president stated, stressing that this is the "last chance."
The war erupted with Hamas's unprecedented assault on southern Israel, resulting in the deaths of 1,219 people, mostly civilians, and the kidnapping of another 251, of whom 48 remain in custody and 25 are presumed dead.
The Israeli retaliatory offensive killed at least 66,225 people, according to figures from the Hamas-led government's Health Ministry, which the UN considers reliable.
